DESCRIPTION:Competitive and fun runners, walkers, and families with children are welcome. Please leave Fido at home as dogs will not be allowed inside Sam Houston Park.  Registered participants receive a finisher medal, event t-shirt and swag donated by the Ronald McDonald House Houston sponsors.\n
100% of proceeds benefit the children and families of RMHC Greater Houston. $150,000 will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the Trafigura Foundation! 
Why We Run\n
Since 1981, RMHC Greater Houston has offered a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions. The House provides a place to find rest and respite, activities, meals and snacks for our families, at no cost – with 111 sleeping rooms across four locations: Holcombe House, Texas Children’s Hospital, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital. 
We also provide a CareMobile that travels out into our local community and provides access to well checks and immunizations for school aged children.\n\n
