Lyle Lovett
Lovett was born and raised in Klein, a community north of Houston named after his great-grandfather. He began writing songs while attending Texas A&M University and eventually became a four-time Grammy Award winner.
Robert Earl Keen
A Houston native, Keen became friends with Lovett while the two attended Texas A&M. Keen later emerged as one of the defining voices in Texas country, building a devoted following through his sharp storytelling and independent approach.
Parker McCollum
McCollum was born in Conroe and attended The Woodlands College Park High School. Before becoming a national country star, he played Houston-area venues such as the Firehouse Saloon and developed the Texas-country foundation heard throughout his music.
Clint Black
Black was born in ew Jersey, but his family moved back to Texas before his first birthday and raised him in Katy. His 1989 debut album, Killin’ Time, produced a string of No. 1 singles and established him as one of country music’s major new stars.
Rodney Crowell
